Metallica guitarist Lars Ulrich will never perform his songs on the new Metallica album, according to Metallica bassist James Hetfield.
Hetfon spoke to Billboard.com this week, where he said, “I think they’re going to make a new record, but I can’t say anything about it.
They’ll make a record.
They’re just making a lot of new music and a lot more of the old stuff that we’ve all been listening to since we were young, so that’s what they’re doing.”
Hetford also said that Metallica is “a different band” now, which is interesting, considering that the band is not a metal band anymore.
When asked about the possibility of new songs for the new album, Hetfort said, “”It’s a really exciting time.
I love the idea of a Metallica record.
It’s a real cool idea.
The new album’s going to be like a whole new universe of music, and it’s going on a really long tour.
So, I’m sure it’s gonna be fun.
I think that’s the main reason why we’re doing this.
I know people who are listening to it right now and it doesn’t sound like Metallica anymore.
I mean, it sounds like a different band, but you’re still listening to the songs.
